The project area includes the cities of Burbank, Santa Clarita, and Palmdale as well as the community of Acton.  This area contains both urban and rural areas as well as the steep, mountainous terrain of the San Gabriel Mountains.  This area is also home to endangered species and is prone to large seismic movements.  Three alternatives are being evaluated along the State Route (SR) 14 corridor and through the Angeles National Forest.
